Eototo is the Chief of all the Kachina and is called
their "Father". He is also at times called the husband
of Hahai Whuti. Eototo controls the seasons and is the leading
figure in the Bean Dance ceremony. On the Third Mesa he is seen
with his companion Aholi, but is not accompanied by him on th
First and Second Mesa.
With his partner Aholi, he conducts a ceremony which purpose
is to draw the clouds and moisture in the village. He appears
in other ceremonies as well including the Niman in July. Eototo
is th "Wuya" to the Bear Clan who are the traditional
village chiefs. He carries the Mongko (Chief's Stick) which
shows he has power and authority in the spirit world.
